What Do You Need to Pre-alert Your Package?

• Tracking number: This is provided by the store or seller where you made the purchase (Amazon, AliExpress, etc.) when they dispatch the package to our warehouse in Miami.
• Invoice of your order: This shows the total value of your purchase and details about the items inside your package. You will find it on the order details, and you can download or take a screenshot of it to attach it to your pre-alert. Please note that in Jamaica, attaching your invoice is optional!

Step-by-Step: How to Pre-alert Your Package with aeropost

• Log in to your aeropost account

  The first step is to log in to your aeropost account on our website or mobile App. If you haven’t created an account yet, it’s easy to sign up and get your free U.S. address

• Go to the Pre-alert Section

  Once you are logged in, find the Create Pre-alert section. This is where you’ll input all the details about your incoming package.
  


• Fill out the Pre-alert form

  Now it’s time to fill in the important details:
  
  
  • Add the Invoice: Attached the invoice for your order; this will be needed for customs clearance.
  • Tracking Number: Enter the tracking number provided by the seller (you can find it on your order details or the track section of your order). This will help us identify your package once it arrives at our Miami warehouse.
  • Courier Company: Here you add the name of the courier who’s delivering your package; you can check this information in the same place where you get the tracking.
  • Store where you bought the package: Add the name of the store where you purchased the items.
  • Package Value: Input the total value of your order as shown on the invoice. This is crucial for customs processing.
  • Consignee: Select the name of the person who will receive the package; please note that it has to be the same name used when you purchased the item in the store; it can be your name or the name of an authorized user on your account.
  • Package Description: Add a brief description of the products in your package. For example, if you ordered a dress and shoes from Shein, you can write “Clothes & Shoes”.
  
  
  

• Click on “Create”

  Once you’ve entered all the required details, hit the “Create” button. And you’re done! Now aeropost is ready to process your package when it arrives at our Miami warehouse.
