• In addition, to submit a written request, inquiry, complaint, or claim from the data subject, please address it to the designated address above or the provided email account. Once the request is received, our internal procedure will be followed to address the matter appropriately.
• AEROPOST shall not be held liable, under any circumstances, for attacks or incidents targeting the security of our computer systems, or for any unauthorized, fraudulent, or illicit actions that may compromise the confidentiality, integrity, or authenticity of the published information or the associated contents and services.
• In strict adherence to the principle of Security in the Processing of Personal Data, AEROPOST implements the necessary technical, human, and administrative measures to safeguard the records and minimize the risks of tampering, loss, unauthorized access or use, consultation, and technical failures. AEROPOST's responsibility is limited to providing adequate means for this purpose.
• A Note About Children. We do not intentionally gather Personal Data from visitors who are under the age of 16. If a child under 16 submits Personal Data to Aeropost and we learn that the Personal Data is the information of a child under 16, we will attempt to delete the information as soon as possible. You understand that your wireless carrier’s standard rates apply to these messages. You represent that you are the owner or authorized user of the wireless device on which messages will be received and that you are authorized to approve the applicable charges.
• Creation of Anonymous Data. We may create Anonymous Data records from Personal Data by excluding information (such as your name) that makes the data personally identifiable to you. We use this Anonymous Data to analyze request and usage patterns so that we may enhance our Services and improve Site navigation. We reserve the right to use Anonymous Data for any purpose and disclose Anonymous Data to third parties in our sole discretion.
• Corporate Restructuring. We may share some or all of your Personal Data in connection with or during negotiation of any merger, financing, acquisition or dissolution transaction or proceeding involving sale, transfer, divestiture, or disclosure of all or a portion of our business or assets. My Account
If you use any of the Aeropost Services, you will be responsible for keeping the confidentiality of your account number and password and for restricting access to your computer, and you accept all responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or password. Aeropost does not sell or provide services to minors, in the event that accounts are opened by minors, Aeropost reserves the right to cancel or close them permanently. Aeropost does not discriminate based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender identity or sexual orientation .
ACCESSING, BROWSING OR USING THE AEROPOST.COM SITE OR USING AEROPOST SERVICES IMPLIES YOUR ACCEPTANCE OF ALL THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS IN THIS AGREEMENT; PLEASE READ THEM CAREFULLY.
Communication
When you use our services, the website, the chat function, emails, messages via electronic platforms or SMS, you are communicating electronically with us at Aeropost.
By accepting our Terms and Conditions, you give your informed and explicit consent to receive from Aeropost:
- 1. Electronic communications.
- 2. Updating agreements, news and notices.
- 3. Notifications that we send electronically through platforms, specifically through social networks (WhatsApp or similar) and SMS.
Our communications require your express acceptance to comply with the legal requirements established by the electronic communications provider platforms, in such a way that only in this way you reiterate your approval in receiving notices, inquiries and/or confirmations of the imports or purchases you make.
In this regard, Aeropost can communicate with its customers using the following platforms:
• Mobile Opt-out. We may provide you messages, including marketing, via SMS service, WAP or mobile services. You may opt-out of these messages from us by replying “STOP” or following the instructions provided in the message, which in any case will not have a cost for you charged by Aeropost although you understand and accept that your wireless carrier’s standard rates may apply to these opt-out messages
• Cookies. If you decide at any time that you no longer wish to accept Cookies from our Service for any of the purposes described above, then you can instruct your browser, by changing its settings, to stop accepting Cookies or to prompt you before accepting a Cookie from the websites you visit. Consult your browser’s technical information. If you do not accept Cookies, however, you may not be able to use all portions of the Service or all functionality of the Service. If you have any questions about how to disable or modify Cookies, please let us know at the contact information provided above.
• De-Linking SNS. Please refer to the privacy settings of the SNS to determine how you may adjust our permissions and manage the interactivity between the Services and your social media account.
AEROPOST.COM Order Processing
By purchasing through Aeropost.com, you are contracting the services of Aeropost.com, an entity legally constituted under the laws of the United States of America. Purchases made by Aeropost.com (“Orders”) are intermediary transactions and Aeropost is not the seller of record.
Compliance for Aeropost.com Orders
Aeropost.com complies with all applicable laws of the United States of America and the destination countries when making sales through Aeropost.com. To enable such compliance, you agree to accurately provide Aeropost.com with the following legal information:
- One (1) valid government-issued photo ID
- Provide your name, physical address, phone number(s) and email
- Authorize Aeropost.com to review and inspect the contents of your order
- Authorize the US Border Patrol US to review and inspect the contents of your order
- Do not purchase restricted or prohibited items such as those listed here http://aeropost.com/site/en/bring-restricted-shipments. This list is determined by both the US export restrictions and regulations and the import restrictions and regulations of the destination countries.
Aeropost.com reserves the right to cancel any order at its own discretion. Any order that is canceled will be refunded through the same method that was used to make the payment, or, in some countries by exception, it will be done through local payment. Canceled orders will be notified by email. The refund time for a canceled order varies depending on the payment method used by the customer.
When your order is received, our Fraud Prevention team may require additional information or documentation to confirm your identity, physical address and payment method. The requested documents may include a photo of an official identity document , a photo of the credit/debit card (first 6 and last 4 visible digits) and a photo of you executing a particular action. In case of not responding to our request, Aeropost.com reserves the right to cancel the order and close the account.
Aeropost.com places limits and restrictions on certain types of orders. The products included in the list of Restricted Items (https://aeropost.com/gp/restricted-shipping/) may not be processed. There are also some websites from which you cannot receive orders. The list of websites changes at the discretion of Aeropost.com. Aeropost.com cannot fulfill orders that are subsidized by another entity or that require a subscription to obtain the published price. Aeropost.com does not purchase downloadable items, including, but not limited to, music, audio, or electronic books, software, subscriptions, or video games; nor do you buy anything through a digital code.
Any price quoted will be valid for 48 hours.After 48 hours, the orders will have to be quoted again. It is the responsibility of the Customer to specify all the physical and technical characteristics of the items requested through the Quotation Tool provided by Aeropost.com. Aeropost.com will not be responsible for price changes or out of stock after 48 hours of requesting additional information to execute the order.
All quoted orders are calculated in United States Dollars (USD) and may be shown in local currency for illustrative purposes only. All charges are in US dollars (USD) unless otherwise noted. If the payment requires a currency conversion, the exchange rate will be determined at the time Aeropost.com processes the payment and completes the transaction.
Purchases made through Aeropost.com are not subject to the payment of customs duties, since these are already included in the price of the order.
Aeropost.com is not responsible for additional charges made by any financial institution or payment platform chosen by the Customer to purchase at Aeropost.com. This includes, but is not limited to, accrued interest on credit cards used to make purchases at Aeropost.com and whose delivery exceeds the normal billing cycle. Additionally, Aeropost.com will not be responsible for any fees or charges applied by the payment platform for making international transactions through Aeropost.com.
Aeropost.com reserves the right, with or without notice, to take one or more of the following actions: (1) discontinue or limit the availability of any product or service, (2) set procedures to honor any coupon , code, promotional code or similar, (3) prevent users from making or completing any transaction and (4) refusing to provide any product or service to any specific user, (5) if Aeropost.com buys something listed from a Customer in a lower price than the one quoted, the difference in cost will be for Aeropost.com favor.
For Aeropost.com to recognize an order, it means that an order has been received; however, it does not imply that the request has been accepted or sent, or that the price or availability of the item has been confirmed. Aeropost.com makes an effort to accurately describe and display products and services on its website. Despite these efforts, a few items may have pricing or description errors, may not be available, and there may be delays in updating the website and listings on other sites. For this reason, we cannot and do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of the information, including prices, product images, specifications, availability, and services. Aeropost.com reserves the right to change or update information and correct errors or omissions at any time, without prior notice. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. If a misquoting occurs Aeropost.com will notify the Customer before canceling the order, if the Customer agrees with the new quotation , Aeropost.com will require an additional payment to complete the order.
Aeropost.com reserves the right to cancel any order. In this eventuality, Aeropost.com will proceed with the refund of the money by the same means in which the purchase was paid.
Refunds will be made by the same payment method by which the Customer paid for the purchase. In the event that it is not possible to use the same payment method , the refund will be made by a credit to the Customer Aeropost.com account (balance in favor of the Customer) or by bank transfer to the bank account of the cardholder or buyer.
Aeropost.com may generate an additional charge in the event of an error in the quote and will notify the Customer by email, the Customer may accept and pay the differential in the order or request its cancellation. Aeropost.com is not obligated to accept orders that have quoting errors of any kind.
Coupons And Promotions
From time to time, Aeropost may offer coupons and promotions. Each coupon or promotion may have additional terms and conditions specific to that coupon or promotion. Coupons can only be used during the corresponding promotional period and can only be applied to products available at Aeropost.com, with the exception of products restricted by local authorities, which require a special permit from Customs. This promotion will be valid only in combination with the payment methods available in your country.
Customers will only be able to avail of coupons and promotions through one account. The multiple use of coupons or individual promotions by a Customer, either through the duplication of orders or accounts, will be canceled immediately, Aeropost.com reserves the right to cancel or close the account(s) in case this happens. Coupons and promotions may not be used in combination with other promotions or coupons. Coupons are non-transferable, non-negotiable, and cannot be exchanged for cash, items or services and will be applied to a single account in the Customer's name.
Aeropost.com could immediately suspend any coupon or promotion, without incurring any liability, when fraudulent actions are detected. Fraudulent actions include, but are not limited to, alternations, substitutions or any other irregularity that may take place during the development of the promotion, in the event that this occurs, Aeropost.com reserves the right to cancel or close the account in case this happens, as well as to cancel any order related to said fraudulent actions.
If, by chance or natural causes, Aeropost.com should temporarily or permanently suspend a coupon or promotion, Aeropost.com will only be responsible for properly communicating the situation, and participants will not be able to collect any damages suffered up to that time. You, the Customer, agree and acknowledge that Aeropost is not responsible and cannot be held liable for canceled promotions or canceled orders that result from associated fraudulent or illegal activities and agree by accepting these Terms and Conditions to maintain Aeropost .com harmless.
